The Locked Up

Surrounded by forest, so dark and unwelcoming. For what had caused all of this to happen? For what reason did the world choose to allow this fate to befall all those who walked the earth? Who was in charge?
High above the entire world was another being that held every soul in the palm of it's hand, watching everyone dance for help, though it would never come.
The world had once been a place of hussle and bussle, not place to move without seeing another being. It was becoming close to impossible to be alone, though sometimes that was a good thing. At times, being alone caused many to go insane. However, now, it was a forced habit upon the world.
The great city of New York; fallen to the harshness of the A.W.D. Here, there is nothing but a group of wolves that are struggling to survive and pass on each day, trying to rebuild the world to what it used to be, or even better. The ground is littered with ruins of the entire city. Wolves live in cars and the forest had finally overgrown the entire city, crushing it under the roots of great trees and plants. Inside the walls of this city, there was thought to be no way out. And though there is, no one dares to exit other then a select few. Monsters are outside the walls of the city and those who dare exit are in danger of losing their lives.
